Jodi CapeJodi Cape, Marketing Manager for LeSaint Logistics

Jodi has been willing to "roll up her sleeves and get the job done" for TMSA for years. Beginning her career in the logistics industry since 2004, Jodi has put to work for TMSA her organizational skills and high energy as Chairperson of the Recognition Committee for three years, and now as a leader on the TMSA Board of Directors.

She has been instrumental in reaching out personally to many members and prospects and giving them encouragement to enter the 2015 Compass Awards Program, and has an uncanny way of generating new ideas and tactics for the Recognition Committee. For example, to ensure expanded participation in the Compass Awards Program, Jodi recommended that the association begin to capture agency contacts among TMSA members to encourage these agency partners to submit entries of the creative work and strategies they do on behalf of their clients in the transportation and logistics industry.

During a recent interview, Jodi share some inside perspective of who she is:

Where was your first job in logistics? My first job in logistics was in Bellwood, Illinois, for a 3PL within their print/media division specifically dealing with mail consolidation and fulfillment.

What is the one piece of intelligence or tool you find invaluable to do your job? This is going to sound like I am looking for a raise, but I truly find my boss to be the most invaluable tool for me to do my job.  He has been in the industry his entire career and has the knowledge and pure experience that is simply priceless. From a networking standpoint ... to day-to-day operations knowledge ... to where should I eat when travel ... he just really knows it all and I am a sponge taking it all in.

What book are you currently reading?  Today, I am personally not reading anything. However, I do have, It’s Potty time, Uh Oh! Gotta Go!, and Potty Time With Elmo, on rotation as I am working with a stubborn two-year-old on trying to use the bathroom on nights and weekends.

If you could live anywhere in the US, where would you live? If I could live anywhere in the US I would live anywhere my family is.

Would you rather go back in time to meet your ancestors (pre-1800s) or go way into the future and meet your great grandchildren (post-2200s)? My great grandchildren for sure! I have to make sure they know how awesome I was and make sure their parents are keeping up with my "coolness" standards.

Would you rather – find true love or find $10,000,000?  Since I already found true love, I’ll go for $10,000,000.
