Minneapolis, June 15, 2018 (MindShare Strategies Media Services) – The Transportation Marketing & Sales Association (TMSA) announces its new board of directors, including officers and committee chairs, for 2018-19. The proposed leadership team was ratified by member vote at the annual business meeting on June 12, during the TMSA Logistics Marketing & Sales Conference near Fort Myers, Fla.

Confirmed officers are: 

  • TMSA Chairman: Scott Grady, president of Rush Trucking
  • President: Candi Cybator, director of marketing for PITT OHIO 
  • Treasurer: Beth Malik, director of marketing and communications for SMC3
  • Secretary: Don Friddell, director of marketing of Kenco Logistics 

Confirmed Chairpersons of seven function committees for the association include:

  • Co-chairs of the Education Committee: Jill Schmieg, chief strategist for Sol de Naples Marketing and Andrew Gulovsen, director of business development for TranStrategy Partners
  • Co-chairs of the Membership Committee: Jason Ickert, vice president of sales & marketing for FLS Transportation and Jodi Cape, marketing manager for LeSaint Logistics 
  • Chair of the Recognition Committee: Angie Davids, director of marketing for YRC Freight
  • Chair of the Communications Committee: Lionel Johnston, corporate marketing manager for Bison Transport
  • Chair of the Succession Planning Committee: David Hoppens, vice president of sales and marketing of Momentum Transportation
  • Chair of the Governance Committee: Mark Miller, vice president corporate and marketing communications with Crowley Maritime
  • Chair of the Finance Committee: Mark Derks, chief marketing officer and partner at Words At Work 

Caroline Lyle, vice president of marketing for TMW Systems, was voted in as president-elect and will be preparing for the next 12 months to take the helm in August 2019.
